The Friends Of The J. V. Fletcher Library 2022 Annual Meeting is free & open to all with featured speaker Bina Venkataraman, author Of “The Optimist’s Telescope Thinking Ahead In A Reckless Age”

Bina Venkataraman, an American journalist, author, and science policy expert, is currently Editor-at-Large at The Boston Globe and a fellow at New America. She teaches in the program on science, technology, and society at MIT.
In The Optimist’s Telescope, she draws on her reporting from around the world and new research in biology, psychology, and economics to explain how we can make decisions that benefit us over time. The Optimist’s Telescope is a trailblazing exploration of how we can plan better for the future—our own, our families’, and our society’s.
